Deacon Construction Inc. was established in 1994 on the principal that providing high quality professional construction services and hands-on management assures satisfaction.

With this goal in mind, Deacon Construction’s experienced and talented tradesmen personally perform almost all of its Framing, Concrete and Finish Carpentry. This assures that we have a full crew available on-site for our management team throughout the project, and their work always meets our standards.

Deacon Construction Inc. has built several relationships with Architects, Engineers and Designers to help assure homeowners will have their dream homes designed and built the way they imagine. It is important to have this team assembled at an early stage to assure the desired design meets the budget of the client.

Deacon Construction Inc. works with the homeowner from the beginning, value engineering and preplanning the project to assure the desired materials and processes are recognized early, thus limiting cost and time variances from the start.

Deacon Construction Inc. has been building and remodeling high-end custom homes for the last decade. However, Deacon Construction Inc. is not limited to this market due to Troy Deacon’s background in the commercial sector. His experience in the scheduling and cost analysis required for commercial projects gives Deacon Construction Inc. an advantage over other residential builders.

Troy founded Deacon Construction Inc. in 1995. Prior to that he worked in construction management for Koll Construction on such diverse projects as:

• The Great Mall of the Bay Area, Milpitas, CA:

  A 1,300,000 SqFt former Ford auto assembly plant conversion to retail outlet mall. This project created many environmental challenges from the existing site to comply with today’s standards.

• Sony Western Regional Operations Center, San Jose, CA:

  A regional operations center combining office, research and development facilities and warehouse space. Phase 1 includes a 495,000 SqFt, four-story steel frame and glass curtain wall structure supported on a driven pile foundation and full landscaping of the 39 acre site.

• The Terraces of Los Gatos, Los Gatos, CA:

  A two and three-story wood frame continuing care facility comprised of 175-independent living apartments, 33-assisted living units and an underground parking structure.

• Marriot Courtyard, San Jose, CA:

  A 150-room, wood-frame hotel complex consisting of four buildings, four-stories with central dining and meeting facilities.

• Herco Technology, San Diego, CA:

  A 156,000 SqFt circuit board manufacturing plant with office space. Particle mezzanine, 30’ tall tilt-up panels and three clean rooms.

• Chancellor Park, San Diego, CA:<

  Two 4-story structural steel buildings, one 3-level post tensioned parking structure and 200,000 SqFt of office space. Project featured curvilinear reflective glass curtain wall and Mexican stone exterior. The site features a 400 foot concrete are wall that sits at a 60 degree angle with three black granite water features.

Prior to his work with Koll Construction, Troy received a B.S. degree in Industrial Technical and Business. While in collage and prior to, he worked as a foreman and framer in both residential and commercial construction. He also enjoyed making custom furniture.
